Professional Development Workshops

To figure out what I wanted to give a Professional Development Workshop on I gave 30 teachers from Metcalfe Elementary a survey (shown on the link below) on their knowledge of technology.  While some knew a great deal about computers and related technology, others knew nothing.  I decided to create two different workshops.

On March 29, 2006 I presented these workshops to teachers at Metcalfe Elementary School.  The first was on Basics of Microsoft Word and the Internet  The second on Using the Internet in Your Classroom.    Due to overwhelming demand from the teachers who could not attend, I created a fully online version of the Using the Internet in Your Classroom workshop.  On this website you will find a brief rundown of the Microscoft Word workshop as well as the fully online version of the Using the Internet in Your Classroom workshop.

When I gave the workshop, I asked the teachers who attended to write minute papers and draw a picture of what they learned at the workshop.  I have included a link to these minute papers below.

Enjoy! ^_^

Please choose a workshop from the list or check out the survey used and minute papers created by the teachers:
