Zach's Attack:

I think the first show can safely be called a success.  We didn't hit any major problems, except for an anticlimactic ending that was as professional as assless chaps (all my fault, the ending, not the chaps).

The cast did an awesome job, with everyone hitting their spots and pulling through like champs.  We learned a lot, including that you should watch what you eat before the show (I think both Nicole and Derek might suggest staying away from pizza).

We also learned that it's great to have someone like Brian on staff who knows a lot of musicians and potential guests (he hooked us up with all of our first week guests) and was even able to pull one out of nowhere at the last minute when our original musical guest cancelled at the last minute.  That could have been disastrous but Brian worked it out and our musical guest, Grant Nosco (sp?), turned out to be an amazing guitar player and a great guy.  Brian also get a huge assist for being instrumental in arguably the night's most successful bits, the failed t-shirt ideas.  Brian made all the t-shirts himself.

Our producer, Andrew Kamphey, also did an amazing job.  The projections on the back of the stage were great and added a professional air to the proceedings that wouldn't have been there if there was just a couple of people talking on a stage.  The lighting and stage design were also well-executed.  (As a sidenote, you should see all of the lightning that Kamphey has in his position.  He has entire suitcases filled with a mismash of random lights and controls.  He didn't get them just for this show, he just has them.  The guy could land a plane if he needed to.)  Kamphey also remembered all the little stuff (bottled water, flashlights, setlists, etc. etc.) that I would have forgotten had I been put in charge of them.  Without him the show would have been a shitty jumblefuck (can I cuss like that on here?)

Some of my favorite moments from the show include:

-Nicole playing the Rocky theme for Drew from the Ultimate Frisbee team     (what a great surprise).

-Ty, Ricky, Jameson, Brian, Derek, and Brooks all working it on the runway.  They sold the shit out of the t-shirt segment.  I heard a lot of great comments about how they executed that segment.

-Jamison's Satan's Corner (with a big assist to David Carter for coming up with the idea).  It was brilliant and I'm only pissed we won't be able to do it next week.

The show was a great time and left me with such a buzz I couldn't fall asleep until almost 5 am.  I can't wait to do it again next week.

Producer's Notes:
This was the first, and probably most well prepared for.  The comedy was fantastic and the guests were very solid.  It was great having  Eval on the show, it was great to have a performance act in addition to a musical act, we have since tried to keep that up.  We had Drew booked for almost two weeks but the Ultiamte Frisbee Team didn't win the championship until the sunday before the show.  We found out during the interview though that Drew didn't play in the championship game, he just shouldn't have said anything, he did play throughout the year and the championship tournement but was injured during the 2nd to last game.
We almost had a major problem.  Electronic music artist Johan Ess was supposed to be the musical guest.  We had talked to him for a couple weeks about it.  On weds before the show, his sidekick asked about amps, we went about trying to find some.  on Thursday night we got a message from Johan that he would not be able to play the show because he couldn't get off of work.  Brian O. went into overdrive and got us Grant who was great.  Grant's interview was even great, when he mentioned that the song he was going to play was about his mother, it made the song mean something that we would have never known had we just heard the song, (it was an instrumental).
