JAG
What?
- An hour-long legal drama/action show about lawyers in the U.S.
Navy's Judge Advocate General Corps, now in its seventh season.
- Second and third season introduction:
- "Following in his father's footsteps, Lt. Commander Harmon
Rabb, Jr., became a naval aviator and suffered a crash while landing his
Tomcat on a storm-tossed carrier at sea. Diagnosed with night blindness,
Harm transferred to the Navy's Judge Advocate General Corps, which investigates,
defends and prosecutes the law of the sea. There, with fellow JAG
lawyer Major Sarah MacKenzie, he now fights in and out of the courtroom
with the same daring and tenacity that made him a Top Gun in the air."
- Harm is now a commander and Mac is a lieutenant colonel.

JAG Links
JAG on CBS
- The official site - well, one of them, anyway. Now with free
wallpapers in a variety of sizes! As far as the show goes, this site
is not too informative, really, especially compared with some of the fan
sites. And the polls, besides being stupid, always make my computer
freeze.
JAG on USA
- Since USA changes its schedule every time you turn around, this
is a good place to bookmark. I certainly don't go there to admire the
"professional" graphics. Geez, look a little cheaper, USA...
The JAGsite
- Under new management and not fully completed. When it's
done, though, it should be most impressive. The
old site
is still up, I think.
The Rose Garden
- Paradise on earth for Harm and Mac shippers. I recommend
reading The 141 Ways to Kill Brumby, which was a collaborative
effort by the shipper mailing list last year (#1-#25 are mine). We
were having a rough season, but you know what? This season is looking
better. And TPTB didn't even have to use our list.
Full Review
- Houses fan reviews for every episode of JAG, plus assorted
other articles and essays. Not all of the stuff is shipper-friendly,
and some of it gets downright nasty, but for a diverse range of JAGnik
opinions, you won't find anywhere better.
JAG Credits and Episode
List
- An insanely thorough accounting of every single person to ever
work on every single episode of JAG. A great resource when
you're trying to figure out who played what or when that one episode aired.
Ex Libris
- The biggest JAG fanfiction archive out there. All
of the stories are rated R or lower.
The Harm and Mac Shipper
Fanfiction Archive
- Just what it sounds like. The stories here go all the way
up to NC-17, but those are clearly labeled as such. If it's up when
you drop by, then you are a lucky duck indeed.
Random Trivia
- JAG is the only weekly military drama currently on television.
- On average, the Tuesday episodes of JAG have 10 million
more viewers than the competition - Buffy the Vampire Slayer. That's
right, 10 million, including 2 million more 18-to-49 year-olds.

True Believer
JAG was my newest obsession, following right on the heels of
ReBoot. I don't know why I started watching the show, and I
don't know why I liked it so much (this is a lie:I started watching for the
'ship). What makes this obsession even more interesting is that I'd
rather have major surgery with no anesthetic than join the military. Seriously.
I hate following orders, and I'm not to keen on being shot at, either.
But I do love the show, and even though I came for the Harm'n'Mac
ship, I stayed for the stories. There are disappointing and mediocre
episodes every now and then, but most of the episodes are well-crafted,
solid bits of entertainment, and that's a rare thing to find these days.
My first finished fanfic was a JAG fic. That alone endears
me to the show. Good muse vibes.
During the year and a half I've been a fan, I've come to the conclusion
that everyone who watches X-Files should also watch JAG.
This is for balance: evil, conspiratorial military vs. military composed
of normal people.
