1: State of Sunshine--Florida>>
What's to do in Florida? Stepping on the beach in the beautiful sunshine? There are various beaches in the eastern, southern and western part of Florida. I would recommend Daytona, Sarasota and Keywest beach because they are all near big cities that you don't want to miss in Florida--Orlando,Tampa and Miami.
I like Orlando best because of the Universal Studio and Disney World, and you can buy year pass for both of them. In Tampa, don't miss those exciting roller coasters in Busch Garden. Keywest is about 3 hours from Miami, so you may enjoy the south beach and port of Miami first, and then take a drive to Keywest.
2: Wind City--Chicago>>
I spent four days in Chicago and visited Skydeck, Art Institute of Chicago, John Hancock Observatory, Millennium Park, Museum of Contemporary Arts, Navy Pier and Northwestern University. Except for Northwestern University,all the other spots are in the east between the Michigan Avenue and golden coast, so I would suggest to check in the hotels on Michigan Avenue.
Talking about city pass, personally I don't think it is necessary because many spots such as the Navy Pier are all free, and it is free to enter Museum of Contemporary Arts every Tuesday. I also visited Art Institute for free because I am customer of Bank of America. I also got special offer admission to Skydeck since I bought tickets for Blue Man in conjunction with Skydeck or Hancock Observatory.

Want to escape the freezing winter? Taking a cruise is my suggestion. My cruise last for 6 days and stopped at Cancun, Grand Cayman and Jamaica.
About Food:
Don't worry you will be bored when "trapped" in the ship, actually you
can have lots of fun on the ship. There are at least 6-7 restaurants varying
from Mexican to Mogolian to Japanese.All the food and non-alcohol drinks are free
and lots of the restaurant open 24 hours.
About Entertainment:
There are so many activities you don't want to miss, inlcluding single mingle party,
dancing tutoring and karaok contest in club and magic shows in piano bar.
Everyday, there will be at least one performance in the theatre,
and you will have an illusion that you are watching shows in Las Vegas.
