High Fashion
High fasion models model for famous designers, either in fashion shows or in publication. Their heights are usually 5'9" to 5'11. Weight requirements are 108 to 130lbs or in proportion to height. This industry is most competitice because it's one of the highest paid. High fashion look is usually girls with high cheekbones, long necks, and square jaws.
Glamour Modeling
There are no physical requirements for glamour models, other than model must be beautiful and sexy. Typically oval shaped face do well in this category. Pay rate usually doubles for posing in lingerie or nude. Guidelines depend on what different magazines want.
Runway Modeling
A runway model works in fashion shows. All runway models must meet certain requirements and have measuements that fit an actual standard clothing size.
Catalogue Modeling
Some involves posing with products, but most involves wearing store-brand clothes. Pay rates are considerable low compared to high fashion modeling. Catalogue modeling is very competitive because it gives models a lot of exposure.
Character Modeling
Some of these jobs require an everyday look, such as a truck driver, grocery clerk, and appliance repair person. Television models are character models.
