It's time to become a gator

1. Do your happy dance!

You're in. You did it. You're officially a Gator. Welcome to the University of Florida, aka the best school in the nation.

2. Turn down your acceptance to FSU.

You mean FSWho? TBH, we all know it was your safety school.

3. Join the University of Florida Class of 2020 Facebook & Twitter pages.

Because it didn't actually happen if you didn't post about it on social media, right? Meet your friends, neighbors, and classmates. ~Become one with your fellow Gators~

4. Figure out which dorm you want to live in.

Get a head start on figuring out your dorm room must-haves. What style room are you looking for? Do you need to have a private bathroom? Can you really stand to share a room with someone for a year? Start with the best University of Florida dorms, and work your way down to figuring out the ideal option for you.

5. Stock up on orange and blue attire.

There's honestly no such thing as too much orange and blue.

6. Ask Grandma for money "for textbooks."

7. Learn the Gator football fight songs

There's nothing truly like singing "We Are The Boys" with 90,000 strangers in The Swamp, even if you do have to put your arm around a sweaty stranger.

8. Research campus organizations

There is so much to get involved with on campus! Whether it's Greek life, a service group, student government, or any one of the hundreds of clubs the University of Florida offers, you are bound to find something that suits you.

9. Make a Gainesville Bucket List.

A lot of people are under the impression that Gainesville is only home to the University of Florida and that's all there is to it. In reality, the city has so much more to offer. Between the hiking trails, natural springs for floating and a historic downtown area, there is so much to explore!

10. Get excited!

University of Florida will be the best four years of your life. Get ready to make the most of it. Go Gators!
