ABOUT US

The mission statement of Keep a Child Alive (KCA) is to help provide those who are battling HIV/AIDS in Africa and India with the essentials and support they need to take their medications correctly and to supply them with the basic necessities to live.

The KCA Community is a large online social network of individuals who believes in the mission of Keep a Child Alive and supports the work they do. The network of KCA started out small, with just four New York based College in 2006, but now has expanded greatly to include other colleges, high schools, groups of friends, neighbors and many more individuals across the globe. The chapters involved with Keep a Child Alive has steadily built the KCA Community for nearly three years and now KCA opens their interactive online community to ALL KCA supporters.

The University of Florida strongly supports the mission statement of Keep a Child Alive and took the opportunity to become a part of the community by forming a chapter at the school in 2011. Along with other schools, churches, workplaces, teams, clubs, and families around the world, the University of Florida is participating in a movement to help save lives and ensure the access to lifesaving AIDS drugs becomes a universal human right.

Together with your help we can KEEP A CHILD ALIVE!

"We say in Africa that a person is a person through other persons. A solitary human being is a contradiction in terms. We are made for togetherness, for friendship, for fellowship. We are created to live in a delicate network of interdependence and we are different precisely to know our need of one another." - Desmond Tutu
