Another luxury complex is joining the selection of student apartments in Gainesville FL. Cascades Luxury Apartments broke ground last Wednesday, March 22nd, just three blocks from the University of Florida campus.
The $14 million, five-level building will comprise of sixty-seven units, all of which will contain upscale features such as luxury bathrooms, private Juliet balconies and gourmet kitchens with electric wine coolers and granite countertops. Most of the units will be studio and one-bedroom floorplans, but the complex will also offer two- to four-bedroom options. Rents will span from the low thousands to almost three-thousand dollars.
In addition to its upscale interior features, Cascades will include several community amenities. The complex will have two outdoor terraces; the rooftop will include a fire pit, abundant greenery and bar-top seating, while another balcony area off of the first floor will contain a wading fountain and garden.
With over 50,000 students attending the University of Florida annually, the demand for student housing is constant in the rapidly-growing city. Cascades’ developer, Trimark Properties, has remained a primary shareholder in the luxury student housing niche in the college town since the company formed in 1992. Their most recent addition to their multifamily portfolio was Tuscana Luxury Apartments, completed in 2015, located only a few blocks from where Cascades will stand.
The development firm worked with architects Fugleberg Koch and construction management team D.E. Scorpio for the project.
Cascades will finish construction in the summer of 2018.
