My Home Country
I thought for a while, but still cannot decide where to start the introduction of my home country, China.
China is such a big country with a long history and quite different cultures from America. I know, in many Americans’ eyes, China equals Communism, political control, pollution and maybe Wal-Mart. However, I am always proud of China and proud to be Chinese. My country is trying its best to develop the economy and catch up with the rest of the world.
Basically, China is a country of more than 1.3 billion people (a fifth of the world’s population), with a five-thousand-year history. It is a society with really deep-rooted traditions but seeking changes. Since the introduction of open-up policy and economic reforms in 1979, the economy of China has been growing.
China is a really good place for tourists. The territory of China stretches more than 3,000 miles from the Pacific Ocean across the face of Asia. Different Chinese provinces have different sights, different cultures, even different dialects, which add to the excitement of trips. Without quesion, travelling around China will help you feel the real China and understand it well.
