Production day 1, "Silence."
The first day of shooting was completed yesterday. Due to an issue with the dry ice supplier, I was only able to shoot about 40% of the scenes, which wasn't a huge issue since the rest of the film hasn't come in yet. The next (and hopefully final) shooting day will be in two weeks. Everything went fairly smoothly, considering this was my first time using the non-reflex Bolex. Loading was not too bad, and I only forgot to rotate the correct lens into position once. Keeping it wound became second nature after a while. Here are two pictures from the set.

Awesome looking shots! Can't wait to see your short. That Bolex looks like it's really preforming for you. Keep up the good work! Thanks for updating us. ;)
Keep up the good work, Evan. This is Josh Johnson (you know, back from middle/high school). I forgot how I found your page, but it was awhile back and I've really enjoyed watching whatever films you had posted here in the past and this new project looks incredibly ambitious and should at least be visually pleasing if nothing else. I never knew you were that interested in film; are you majoring in it or just do this as a hobby? If it's your major, you seriously must be ahead of the game compared to your fellow students. Again, good luck with everything, and I know I'll be stopping by the site every now and then to read any updates you make.

I guess this must be a hobby for you, because I sure as hell know that film majors don't take organic chemistry for fun. I'm willing to take that back if you are dual majoring, which is very likely if you're going down the path of filming. Anyways, I'll talk to you in class sometime, whenever you're not nodding off to another lecture about mechanisms and structures.
