Currently my work is dealing with the bridge between
childhood memories and adulthood. The work is inspired by familiarities suchas children's books and vintage fabric patterns. The concept is expressed through child-like
imagery, simplified shapes and text on the surface of functional ware such as
cups and saucers for milk and cookies, cupcake trays and tea sets. Glazing
with majolica allows me to use a color palette that reflects my concept.
Laser decals are applied to enhance the piece with text reflecting the irony
of the “innocence” of childhood.
