Durelon

Zinc Polycarboxylate Cement for Cementations and Cement Bases

Uses: Cementation of single unit crowns, multiple abutment bridge, inlays, onlays, linings under composite and amalgam, and orthodontic bands.

Features: Adheres chemically to enamel, dentin and stainless steel, biologically compatible, less soluble than zinc phosphate and ZOE, available in a fast setting version, fluoride releasing, durelon liquid is available in calibrated dispensers for exacting liquid proportions, provides a tight seal at the margin, accepted for the use as a base or liner, hydrolytically stable.

Directions: Powder- Press the supplied measuring stick firmly down into the powder. When withdrawn from the bottle, scrape excess powder from cup with spatula. Release the powder onto the mixing pad. Liquid- Hold bottle vertically and squeeze. For Cementation: 1 measure of powder and 3 drops of liquid. Mix for 30 seconds. Working time is approximately 3 minutes (at room temperature) with a setting time of 10 minutes. More powder or higher temperature shortens working time.

Precautions: if gloss is not present, then Durelon cannot be applied, all surfaces must be cleaned, remove excess cement before rubbery stage, clean instruments with water before the material has set, keep bottles closed, may cause skin irritation.
