- //Direct methanol fuel cells are expected to become a commercial small-scale power source in the near future, providing continuous power in applications traditionally supplied by high-end batteries. We are working with Polyfuel, the wolrd leader in DMFC membrane technology, and UNF to develop a reference system architechture. OEMs are expected to base their proprietary designs on this reference architecture in developing DMFCs for laptops, cell phones, and mobile military power. Our program includes system innovation, modeling, and detailed measurement of transport processes.//
