This Virtual Fieldtrip will be a visit to the "Tusks Exhibit" at Florida Museum of Natural History.

The goals of this is activity are:

  • To prepare students for a visit to the Museum and/or
  • To provide students with information about the Museum in case they are unable to visit the Museum with a class

Through the use of technology students will have the opportunity to visit the Florida Museum of Natural History. This Virtual Fieldtrip will enable students to remotely tour the Museum and gain insight into some of the Museums exhibits and educational activities.

How To Navigate the Virtual Tour

1) Place your mouse on the picture above and hold down to navigate around the Virtual Tour of the Tusks Exhibit

2) If the movie does not open, try these options:
  • Click here to check your browser for Quicktime.
  • Click here to go directly to the Quicktime download page.

3) Click here to load the QuickTime movie directly from my server, this is my favorite way to take the tour because you can expand the movie and see the exhibit in greater detail

4) **Remember to look for "Hotspots" (you can also find these by clicking on the "?" on the control panel of the movie, or by scrolling around the video) these are links to internet resources, be sure to click on the timeline hotspot for deeper exploration of mastedons and mammoths
