Pathology and Ecology of The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment
Station. We answer inquiries about plants and plant health and performs
disease diagnosis for all Connecticut residents, including homeowners
and professionals (e.g., arborists, commercial growers, landscapers,
orchardists). |

information ...
You can find information about plant-related problems in our Plant

For a range of plant related topics (including plant care instructions,
poisonous plant facts and in-depth information about a number of plant
health problems), please consult the Station's extensive Factsheet Collection.
How to submit
samples ...
Plant samples can be submitted in person or by mail. Disease diagnosis
involves visual assessment, microscopic examination, and other
procedures as necessary. These include culture of the causal agent on
artificial and selective media, serological tests, and various other
procedures. These services are free for Connecticut residents.
In order to provide correct diagnosis it is crutial that we receive a
good quality specimen, so please follow our sample submission
procedures and send a sample submission form together with your sample.
