You have just been introduced to the idea of da-zi-bao in your last section of the Red Scarf Girl. Ji-Li Jiang defines the da-zi-bao as "a form of propaganda in the shape of a large handwritten poster presenting an important issue".  Political posters have been used around the world to spread ideas and try to influence the viewers.  They were particularly important during the Cultural Revolution where they were used to humiliate and attack people. Your next task is to evaluate three political posters from the hotlist below using the evaluation sheet. We will evaluate a poster in class to examine how this should be done. Then you will create your own political poster with a message that is important to you.  When your poster is finished, complete the self-reflection form.  I will use this to help me when I am assigning your grade.
