I am currently a Senior Algorithm Researcher in Real Communications Inc., Silicon Valley. I received my PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida. I worked as a research assistant in the Multimedia Communication and Networking Lab under the supervision of Dr. Dapeng Olive Wu. Previously I worked as summer intern at InterDigital Communications, Huawei North America Multimedia Research and Intel Corporation.

My research interest includes semiconductor-based video compression algorithm design, video coding standards (HEVC and AVC), video streaming and transmission, image and video processing, computer vision, machine learning and statistics.

At the University of Florida, I won the Outstanding International Student Award, which recognizes the top international students in the university. Also I won the student government travel grant (sponsor graduate students who attend top academic conferences in the field).
