Meet Elray (Electronic Love Robot Attracted to You)
Elray is enclosed in a small area, probably a 6x8 square area. He will love and follow anyone in the area but he can only love one person at a time. You can consider Elray a pet but he is really a love <3 machine.
1. For obstacle avoidance, I will use 2 sonars.
2. For line tracking, I will use 4 photoreflectors.
3. For obstacle collision, I will 4 bump switches.
4. For the special sensor, I will use one CMU cam.
The first person Elray sees he will fall in love with it. He will follow the person around but he can only love people in a certain area.
If a person leaves that area, Elray will not be able to follow them. The area will have a white border.
If he sees someone, his heart made out of LEDs should pulsate.
If the person leaves him, his sad face made of LEDs should light up.
If Elray is at the border and he sees someone, he will ram the border so it will seem like he is trying to break through the wall.
Probably will not have time for this but...:
1. If I have time, I would put "edge of the world" detection.
2. Have Elray talk when he sees someone.
If Elray sees someone but is hitting the border, he will say "Daddy needs some sugar."
