Weekly Report 7 (6/30/05)

So far, I have collision avoidance working nicely. Since the TTech machine was out for a while I didn’t get the chance to make my sensor board before the break. Now that it’s working, I got the board cut out, and I can finally attach my bump sensors and use them as part of my collision avoidance. This week, I will work on testing the photoresistors that I just received, and getting some values in different lighting conditions. I will also re-test my IRs to get some more accurate values at different distances. I’m still waiting on my voice recognition kit which is supposed to arrive this week. As soon as it’s here, I will test it to figure out what words it can recognize and how well it does it. I’d like to also work on the platform and try to make it more esthetically appealing so that I can have a nice picture of the robot on my website.
