Weekly Report 1 (6/16/05)

I had my platform cut out last Thursday, and I put it together this weekend. I had to make some changes to it because some pieces didn’t fit perfectly, and I also had to manually drill some extra holes. A lot of glue was used to put the pieces together but nonetheless it ended up looking fine. I mounted the dc motors and tested them; I calibrated them to make the robot move as straight as possible. It still slightly turns to the left. I also mounted the LCD, the IRs, and the bump switches but I still haven’t connected them to the board; I want to cut out a board first. Then, I will wire whatever is left, and finally write the main program for collision avoidance.
