Weekly Report 10 (7/21/05)

This week I worked on the wall following program. I got it to work very well, and the robot does a good job going around objects. I tried it out in my kitchen where I placed some obstacles against the wall, and then had JamesBot go around them. I am pleased with the overall result. The only bad thing is that it wasn’t very smooth. It’s not a big deal for now, and if I have the time, I will try to work on it. For some reason, my LCD isn’t working properly anymore. I’m not sure what happened, so I just placed an order for a new one. I also ordered a wireless microphone to replace the two way radio as the mean to communicate with the robot. I can’t get the two way radio to work very well with the voice circuit.
