I am originally from Cambodia, a beautiful country located in Southeast Asia, and currently a tenure-track Assistant Professor [AACSB academically qualified] in the Department of Business,
Management and Accounting at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore where I teach management and finance courses. My areas of specialization include Financial Theories,
Financial Economics and
Econometrics, Financial Management, Managerial and Financial Accounting,
Real Estate Finance, Strategic Human Resource Training & Development, Development Economics, Inferential Statistics, Industrial Management, and Analytical Assessments and Evaluations of the Competitiveness of the Nations. Dr. Sum is a member of the American Economic Association and American Finance Association.
When I am not teaching, doing research, advising my students or attending various committee meetings, I enjoy watching and attending sport events, traveling to different places, and sampling different dishes.
