Imagine —— The rows of bright red vending machines at the grocery store. For just a quarter or two, a piece of candy, gum or a really cool stick-on tattoo can be yours. This is your favorite part of going to the store. You've saved the change your grandmother gave you all week and you can't wait to place it in the slot and turn the knob.

What do you want this time? You think about it for a moment and settle on a new tattoo. You think they are really neat and your teacher at school said that you will be studying tattooed Indians next week. In goes the quarter — and in the turn of the knob your prize drops down.
As you place your tattoo on your hand something mysterious begins to happen. The sights and sound of the grocery store are fading away. You see palmettos and pine trees and a group of children wearing funny clothes. They call out to you — Come and play, come and play. Who are these people?
