Weekly Report 9
This week I received my frame parts from the T-Tech and assembled my platform. I selected resistors to build a voltage divider circuit for my bump sensors and built the circuit onto my platform. I soldered lines onto my IR modules and began experimenting with them. I also modified my LCD ribbon cable and designed and cut a mount for it. Finally, I talked to Mike about connecting my CMU camera to my board and made the appropriate cables.
Next I will determine the viewing angle of the IR modules and mount them accordingly, with one on each front corner and one on the back. I will also mount levers onto the bump sensors so that they cover the entire perimeter of the platform. Once that is complete I will be able to write a complete obstacle avoidance code. After that I will build the turret to mount the CMU camera and dart launcher. I will also begin experimenting with the camera.
