Guidelines

Typesichord->

·       a - Lower case letters are quarter notes

·       AB- Upper case letters are half notes

·       A! - An exclamation point indicates the previous note is held for an additional quarter note

·       [AA!] - Brackets indicate the note should be held for the sum of the symbols

·       _ - One space is a quarter rest

·       , is a quarter rest

·       ; is a half rest

·       . is a whole rest

·       A paragraph break is two whole rests

·       “abc” & {abc} - Quotation marks and secondary brackets indicate that every symbol between them are played twice as fast

·       : indicates the previous note is held until the note dies

·       ^ indicates the previous key should be one half-step sharper

·       Numerals informs the player to turn the volume on the amplifier to the specified digit (1-0)

·       a? - A question mark indicates that the previous note is held for four times as long with tremolo

·       Bold letters are stricken hard

·       Italicized letters are stricken lightly

·         Underlined letters are hit repeatedly within the time

·       (abc) - Parentheses indicates a chord or a string of chords separated by rests

·       A chord consists of letters which are played simultaneously and held for the time signified by the first letter of the chord
