A literal reinvention of the wheel. By
recreating something as unoriginal as the "first" invention, I
exaggerate my opinion of originality. The wheel was carved from a poured
cement slab with an immobile axel staked in place to represent sculpture
unmoving in time. I want the viewer to not feel as though sculptures are
fresh ideas, but reiterations of past ideas.
