Philanthropy

Pure benevolence is an unrealistic ideal. The act of giving yields pleasure to the giver in the form of fulfilling a need to be seen to others or to himself as doing a good deed. Philanthropy is a trophy given to those charitable persons. The alabaster prism represents altruism embedded in the act of helping the lesser.
