ENC 1101: Expository and
Argumentative Writing

This course prepares students
to write expository-argumentative prose and to analyze discourse in contemporary
culture. ENC 1101 is designed to help students improve their grasp of standard
written English, library research, critical analysis and creative thinking.
MGF 1106: Mathematics for Liberal
Arts

A general education course which
includes an introduction to logic and set theory, algebra, probability
and statistics, an elementary introduction to linear programming and game
theory, and a review of geometry and measurement.
SPA 2024: Human Communication
Dynamics

An interdisciplinary course
exploring a range of dynamic interactions in human communication. Topics
will include pre- and post-natal communication, development of speech,
parent/child communication, vocal/nonvocal communication, noise pollution
and prosthetic devices. Normal and abnormal aspects of communication processes
will be covered.
HUM 2511: Basic Fundamentals
and Skills in the Visual Arts and Music

Fundamentals of visual arts
and of music needed by classroom teacher for teaching art and music in
the elementary school. Students with sufficient background may exempt the
course by examination.
