"'What you would like is to be able to offer this as a service,' says Steve Moore (BA '87, MS '02), who designed the system for his master's degree in computer science and engineering. "You go to a city and say, 'OK, I need to be navigated,' and it taps into the GIS database for that city.' Moore embarked on the project in part because his father, UF math professor Theral Moore, is blind."
