ENEMY Text Box: The only difference between this year’s team and last year’s team is that Kenny Wood graduated. That’s a big fucking difference. . .Their inability to rebound cost them in last year’s tournament, and their size is still a problem. Phil Wallace doesn’t exactly scare anybody driving down the lane. Wallace’s size should not deceive; he’s an excellent player. Except for his shooting, defense, rebounding, passing and ball-handling. Ball-handling on the court that is . . .Tom Boorstein, the sophomore who somehow created high expectations last year, has nothing to live up to this year, based on last year’s performance. . .Adam Spunberg, back from his deathbed after a bout with mononucleosis, will probably see a decrease in playing time. That’s good news for this team. . .What can you say about J.V. Heumann? His initials speak for themselves. Despite flashes of brilliance, Heumann still looks like he could benefit from some time on the lower squad . . .Todd Keryc looks to shoot first, second and third and pass fourth. Normally considered selfish behavior, this is actually in the team’s best interest. Whether that’s Keryc’s justification is another question. . .Nate Freiberg’s ugly shots somehow found a way to fall. Freiberg’s scoring was a big surprise for the team last year. No one will be surprised this year if he struggles . . .Brian Schaitkin has major issues with many facets of his game. His screen-setting and defense are probably tops on the team, but that’s probably because no one else knows how to do either. His skill in those departments is easily cancelled out by his inability to shoot the ball. And run. . .Mike DiLorenzo should have trouble getting on the floor this year. Don’t be surprised if he wanders up to 217th St. in an effort to locate the elusive Levien Field. . .What can this team do to win? Hope enough teams forfeit like last year to put them through to the later rounds. Possibly the funniest thing I’ve heard is the statement that it could be a long year for this team. Could?LINES
