Fall Semester 2000

ECHD 7010    Individual Appraisal
2 Semester hours
Principles of testing, types of scores, use of instruments and methods of assessing abilities, achievement levels, interests, attitudes, developmental variables, vocational skills, and personality characteristics.  Use of test and non-test data in counseling and human development services.

ECHD 7050    Lifestyle and Career Development
1 Semester hour
Career development concepts, assumptions, theories, and research in educational, rehabilitation, community, and employment settings.

ECHD 8020    Seminar in Counseling and Human Development Services
3 Semester hours
Specific topics in counseling and human development services.  Topics vary but  focus on the development of advanced knowledge and skills in emerging areas relevant to professionals in counseling and human development.

EDIT 6150    Introduction to Computer-Based Education

The computer and its educational applications. Computer-based education in the areas of instruction, text and data processing, multimedia, and telecommunications.  Philosophical perspectives on the role of computer technology in education.

Supervised psychological counseling practice in a setting consistent with a school counseling student's goals

Introductory group counseling theories.  Review of the basics of setting up and conducting conseling groups.  Discussion of ethical standard related to group counseling.

SOWK 6117    Social Work with Violent Families

Multi-systemic, community-wide approaches to protecting family members from domestic violence.
