“Mom, where and what are we doing out here?” I said in the most exacerbated voice possible as we drove aimlessly around the Clearwater area.
“Well Tim I thought you might be interested to see where I live” she said as our lunch excursion began to push the 5th hour mark.
“Besides, I wanted to look to see what houses are for sale out here.”
“I love these houses out here, like look at that one over there. It has 6 bedrooms, a 4 car garage, and an Olympic size swimming pool.”
“Oh and look at this one over here, do you see the size of their deck, the hot-tube is built right into it.”
“Mom I don’t think these houses are for sale” I said praying for fantasy Real-Estate to stop.
“Yeah Tim you’re right, that is a nice sailboat,” I didn’t get through, “I bet those people are loaded, you have to be to afford that…that must be the life huh?”
“Do you know how little nurses get paid down here? It’s criminal, I can barely get by.”
“I mean its better then Maine but still, what do they expect a person to do, Glen and I almost had to cancel our trip to Vegas, its getting ridiculous.”
“I wish I had your father’s money, he would be able to live around here”
“Ummmm I don’t know Mom, I’m not sure that’s right.”
“Yeah you’re right, it would be to noisy out here.”
“Yeah…that’s it” as my eyes managed to roll all the way into the back of my head.
“Are we almost done out here yet, I still have to pack my stuff before the flight tomorrow?”
“Ok we’ll head b…a…c….OOOOoooo, Tim look at this house up on the right, I just remembered we need to go look at these streets around here, you would not believe some of the houses, I think they even have docks, I how you love docks, wouldn’t it be perfect.
