Greed in its simplest form is human nature, it is what we have been programmed to practice.  Our genes according to Richard Dawkins are no more then survival machines, greedy pairings of nucleic acids with only one intention, to survive.  Altruism in this world and in our own is often considered fiction; there is no room for sacrifice, no room for the greater good.

You consume for your own interest, you eliminate competition, you not only try to survive by any means necessary – you try to prosper by any means necessary.  That is the only rule of the game.  It’s simple, you take whatever is given to you without hesitation or consideration.  There are no ethics and morals; there are only circumstances of which it is your nature to take advantage of.  Remember that you don’t corner the wheat, the wheat corners you.
