Tana Silva

Worked in Brazil 1987-1991 as a freelance reporter for Christian Science Monitor Radio, Voice of America radio, and print media, as a TV field producer for NBC, WGBH of Boston, ITN of London, and Beyond 2000 of Sydney, and with Human Rights Watch and Control Risks of London, among other clients.

Earlier worked as a staff reporter at the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel and Palm Beach Post, reporting intern at the Miami Herald, and reporter for the Gainesville Sun and WUFT-FM in Florida. Last name Van Dyke until 1991. Later worked as a staff reporter for the Gainesville Sun, coordinator of the Florida-Brazil Institute, translation reviewer for National Geographic, and journalism adjunct faculty member at the University of Florida.
