About me

I am a graduate student working with professor Mark Panning at the Department of Geological Sciences, University of Florida. At this moment, I am learning how lattice preferred orientation (LPO) of mineral crystals affects the shear-wave anisotropy in the upper mantle. Before coming to Florida, I had a B.S. from the Department of the Geophysical Sciences, The University of Chicago in 2001, a M.A. from the Department of Geosciences, Princeton University in 2003 and a M.S. from the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Northwestern University in 2010.

In the summer of 2014, I attended Cooperative Institute for Dynamic Earth Research (CIDER) summer program in Santa Barbara, CA for 4 weeks. This was an excellent program for Earth and planetary interior research. Below are some pictures of my quite grown-up girls and me in front of KITP building where the program was held and by the beach just steps from the building.
