Stacy's Homepage
My name is Stacy Ann Morris. I am a senior at the University of Florida studying Health Education and Behavior in the college of Health and Human Performance. My specialization is K-12. My academic interest is involves working with individuals in all aspects of health. Many people believe that if you look healthy, they are healthy, but this is not the case. It is what you eat, how often you exercise, and your ability to cope with stress. Health is the capability to interact with one another and not simply being without disease. It contains physical, mental, emotional, and social aspect. I hope to provide them with the knowledge and skills one needs to be healthy for a lifetime. My group presentation is on "Food and Your Health", and will be presented on November 29, 2004 in FLG 235. I am group 10 and my group members are Maria Kylonnen and Jennifer Miller. My three-year career plan: Coming out of college, I intended to become a pharmaceutical sales representative. I think it will be a great experience to be able to travel and to meet a lot of people in the process. I hope to do that for a few years and save up money to buy a house. I plan to do this out of the city of Miami where my family and friends are located. I intended to fall back on teaching later on because I think it is a great career to have when raising a family. I plan on going back to school to receive my Masters when I start my teaching career. Working with kids has always been a passion of mine. I think teachers play an important part in influencing their students later on in life and serve as role models as well. I hope to have a great student-teacher relationship with each student and be there for him or her whenever they have a problem.
