About Project Kriebo Team
Welcome to project kriebo. Project kriebo was born during the requirement of a final year project in 2007. It is intended to serve as a sniping/soldiering unit in warfare. The project warpath (pun intended), involves many modules that are required to run almost parallel. To concentrate with the fundamental problem and to ensure completion, sophisticated problems such as moving targets, and mixed colour backgrounds have been avoided. Also monoscopic vision is used in this restricted scenario.
Due to the heavy processing requirements, a simple dsp-micro-controller unit cannot be used for embedding. Current tests are being run on an AMD 64 3600+ CPU with 512Mb/1GB RAM.
The various modules are almost complete and are being tested individually. The interconnection between various modules will be done once all programs are standardized in C/C++. We have avoided using unnecessary libraries to decrease the processing overhead. For this reason esp. MATLAB was not used in the developmental stages.
