Our Chicken Unit!!!

First: We learned how a chicken lives and develops inside an egg.   

Then we watched and saw how they emerged from the egg.  They have a special tooth on their beak that cracks the shell open.  After they have hatched, the tooth falls off.

We learned that chickens hide from the light if they are hot. We could see that they were born with knowledge about how to eat, drink, and survive.  

We also learned that they grouped together when they are cold.
