Habitat: Rainforest
All lemurs are endangerd animals due to deforestation and hunting. They are naturally found on the island of Madagascar, and some of the surrounding islands. Currently there are 52 living lemur species. They are in the class of primates, which also includes apes and monkeys. Smaller speciaes of lemurs are active at night, or nocturnal, while the larger ones are active during the day.  Lemurs eat things like fruit, leaves, insects, flowers, and nectar.
