Inspired by similar "brick" projects in other cites, I arranged to met with children at the St. Francis House, a shelter for the "homeless" in Gainesville. I offered each child a wooden brick upon which to artisically express his or her ideas and feelings about the theme of "home." The resulting bricks were dispalyed as a group at a local gallery in order to raise community awareness of the plight of homeless children in the area.
