Riester Rente
I got the great news today that I got a perfect grade for my class last semester. I was only taking one course so I could focus my efforts a little bit better and this proved to be a great strategy because I got a perfect grade for the course and now my GPA is a little bit higher. I am getting closer and closer to my goal of finishing school with a grade point average above a three point six. I think I can do it if I get the grades I think I will get for the next couple of years. The real task in all of that time is just making sure that I don't do too little. I think this is one of those times in life where you just have to know that you are working for tomorrow no matter how hard today is.
Today I started my next semester class, yes the day before The holiday, and I am really excited about it. It's my summer intensive course on German speech and writing skills. I think that I want to graduate with a German language minor at least and so I want to try and get it out of the way by the end of the fall. My first assignment for the class was to translate this article that is all in German and then read it in German to the kids in class who will try to translate it as I am speaking it to them as a group.
Versicherungsschutz ist jedem Land der Erde ein klein wenig anders aufgebaut. So ist in Deutschland die Private Krankenversicherung nur für wenige Menschen die Möglichkeit sich gegen Krankheiten abzusichern, denn diese Krankenversicherung steht nur Selbständigen, Verdienern über der Beitragsbemessungsgrenze und Beamten offen. Der Großteil der deutschen Bevölkerung ist über eine gesetzliche Krankenversicherung abgesichert.
Kürzungen bei den Krankenversicherungen führten auch dazu, dass das vorher bekannte Sterbegeld abgeschafft wurde und nun nur noch privat abgesichert werden kann.
Änderungen in den letzten Jahren haben zu einer neuen Art der Lebensversicherung der Riester Rente geführt, während klassische Lebens- und Rentenversicherungen durch Gesetztesänderungen nur noch ein Schattendasein fristen.
Recht haben und Recht bekommen, so sagt man, seien 2 verschiedene Seiten derselben Medaille - doch damit ihr gutes Recht auch durchsetzbar bleibt ist mittlerweile Rechtsschutz unverzichtbar geworden. Ein kleines Verkehrsvergehen kann z.B. den Entzug des Führerscheins bedeuten, eine Verkehrsrechtsschutzversicherung kann hierbei helfen ihr gutes Recht auch durchzusetzen.
This class is really getting down to the heart of the types of learning and life experiences I want to have for myself. I need everything I learn to be useful and everything I do as a working person to be significant in some way to the betterment of the world as a whole. I know it sounds quite idealistic, and it is, because I am young and I have that freedom.
