Weekly Report 6

This week I ordered some DC gearmotors to drive my robot as well as some mounting brackets, hubs, and a rear caster wheel.  I worked designing a motor-driven putting mechanism in case I won’t be able to drive fast enough to putt the ball far enough.  I started learning the TurboCAD program I ordered and started designing my platform.  I searched for wheels, but couldn’t find any that were sufficiently large (diameter) and narrow (for easy turning and low weight), so I might end up making my own with plywood and o-rings.  I also started playing around with the CmuCAM with the java interface to see how it operates and how the different modes work.
