Public humiliation is something that happens in society each and every day. The theme of public humiliation that occurs in the play Much Ado About Nothing is an important piece of the work because it shows the historical relevance in terms to the way honor is portrayed by Shakespeare. These images in the comic show celebrities in a publicly humiliating situation. It is clear none of them are enjoying themselves because being humiliated is a demeaning thing most people don't enjoy. Hero was humiliated in a way that shames her and her entire family. Quite similar to the consequences of the Tiger Woods incident offering family shame, dishonor, and loss of integrity. Humiliation is still about as undesirable as it was during the era of Shakespeare's play.
