My Kitchen Experiment
Hey, You know what. I am making mushroom in spinach. Let me tell you the method.
INGREDIENTS:
Spinach (cut-leaf), 1 large Onion (medium chopped), 2 Table Spoon Cooking Oil, 1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder, Cumin Seeds, Garlic Powder, Black Pepper Powder, 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder, 8-10 White Mushroom
Preparation Steps:
  • Heat oil in the cooking pan and put the cumin seeds into it and heat till it starts popping
  • Next add the cut onions into it and saute it till it is slightly soft (dont wait for it to be brown)
  • Next add the cut leaf spinach into it and cook it on slow flame for about 10-15 minutes (you may also add some water)
  • Add turmeric powder to it along with the red chilli powder, also add garlic powder and black pepper powder into it.
  • Mix it thoroughly..
  • While the spinach is cooking, cut the mushroom into 4 parts each
  • Add the mushrooms when the spinach is nearly cooked
  • Cook for around 5-6 minutes more on high flame, keep stirring on regular intervals to prevent burning.
  • Add salt to taste. You may garnish it with coriender leaves.

Serve HOT. Goes well with rice or with hot paranthas. Do tell me what do you think of this recipe. (c) 2004 - CHEF PIYUSH HARSH.
