BSC 2010 - Integrated Principles of Biology I
A study of the origin of life systems; of biological molecules, and organization of living things at the subcellular, cellular and organismic levels; and of the activities of living forms in obtaining and utilizing energy and materials in growth, maintenance and reproduction.

BSC 2010L - Integrated Principles of Biology Laboratory I.
Laboratory experiments designed to accompany BSC 2010.

MAC 1105 - College Algebra
Topics include linear, quadratic, rational, radical, exponential, and logarithmic functions. Graphing and applications are emphasized.

CHM 2045 - General Chemistry.
Stoichiometry, atomic, and molecular structure, the sates of matter, reaction rates and equilibria, acids and bases.

ENC 1101 - Expository and Argumentative Writing.
This course prepares students to write expository-argumentative prose and to analyze discourse in contemporary culture. ENC 1101 is designed to help students improve their grasp of standard written English, library research, critical analysis and creative thinking.

PSY 2012 - General Psychology.
Designed to provide a broad, general introduction to the field of psychology, this course is the prerequisite for advanced courses in psychology. Emphasis is on psychology as a research enterprise. Students are required to participate as subjects in psychological research or write a paper on a psychological research article.

SYG 2000 - Principles of Sociology.
Introduction to sociology as a social science, and analysis of American society. Culture, socialization, deviance, bureaucracy, population, urbanization, social stratification, minorities and other topics.

CHM 2045L - General Chemistry Laboratory.
Laboratory experiments designed to accompany CHM 2041 and 2045.

MAC 1140 - Precalculus Algebra.
College algebra, functions, coordinate geometry, exponential and logarithmic functions.

SLS 1102 - Enhancing the Freshman Experience.

ZOO 2303 - Vertebrate Zoology.
The evolution, taxonomy, ecology and behavior of vertebrates. Emphasis is on the adaptations of wild animals to their natural habitats. Laboratory will include field trips.

FOS 2001 - Man's Food
For science and nonscience students. Discussion of current nutrition and food science topics concerning nutritional quality and safety of foods as they relate to one's health.

WIS 2040 - Wildlife Issues in a Changing World.
Emphasis given to current wildlife conservation issues in Florida and the Southeast. (B).

STA 2023 - Introduction to Statistics 1.
Graphical and numerical descriptive measures, probability, conditional probability, probability laws, discrete random variables, binomial and normal random variables, sampling distributions, central limit theorem, large and small sample confidence intervals for parameters associated with a single population and for comparison of two populations. Hypothesis testing for large and small samples.

ENC 1102 - Writing About Literature.
A course offering instruction in writing about fiction, drama and poetry.  Writing about School Stories.  We read and wrote about Blighton's Mallory Towers, Wodehouse's White Feather, and Rowling's Harry Potter.

ENC 1145 - Topics for Composition.
Instruction in expository-argumentative writing relate to one special topic selected by the instructor. Readings will include varied genres from different disciplines.  Writing about Native American Woman Writers.  We read various pieces and genres, by various Native American authors.
