This page contains our little reviews on the event in Orlando run by the OCCC.  After the trip, Van suggested we write up something about the trip to post on the site.

Okay, for the people that didn't go: shame on you!  :-P  Unless I didn't invite you, then shame on me!
Anyway, we first drove to Orlando.  We went 65 mph down the highway and made people mad.  We is four carloads of people, so that's a lot of mad people.  But that's not the important part!  Orlando really has a nice chinese church, I hope ours ends up as good as theirs... when it's finally built.  The chairs are very nice.   (And so are the people in it.)  We ate lunch there, and did the usual youth group thing, if you know what I mean.  We sang, played a really weird game (which I failed miserably at ^^) and then sang some more.  I was in charge of lyric overheads, very important job :-).
Edward, the leader of the youth group in Orlando, spoke about temptation... remember that temptation is an iceburg, but with God's help, we can overcome it.  (He'll give us wings to go over it or something, hehe.)  After the sermon, we shared in small groups, then everyone played football (I played with my chinese yo yo).
For dinner, the Orlando Chinese church got us reservations at Big Apple.  We arrived with typical Chinese punctuality, LOL.  What was really cool was that the Orlando-ians picked up the entire tab... and it was a rather hefty tab!  I dunno if we can ever repay them.
Some quotes from the trip:
"Sooo simple!" - Wes on drawings, cameras, and what not
"It's a BUFFET! OH YES!!!" - Tommy on Big Apple
"What's this song, Van?" - me, like seventeen times
"Thirty minutes if you drive really really fast!" - Tim on the amount of time it takes to get from Orlando to G'ville
Overall it was very cool.  But then I'm a little biased, these things are always cool to me.

I enjoyed the trip to Orlando a lot.  I thought the message was especially relavent.   What I would remember the most is what Ed said about trusting in God's strength is everything.  Football was good, food was good.  However, I expected to have more interaction with the youth from the Orlando church. Mostly the youths stayed with their own churches. Maybe we should have had more activities to get to know everyone.

I got a email saying that i'm suppose to write bout the trip...so...here goes nothing...
um, it was purty fun, the part i liked was the part where that guy talked about temptations, it made you think...Cuz i just realized that there are tempatations everywhere around me. But its not nessecari;y the object thats a temptation, its just the way you think of it. ...yeah...and plus, it was really generous of the orlando church to pay for our lunch and dinner...gotta love the cali rolls. ..and i liked being back in orlando, it made me feel ...hommie, hehe ^_^”

This last Saturday, we went to Orlando Chinese Church.  This provided an exciting opportunity to meet other people who are of similar Background.  In order to develop a sense of congeniality and comratery.  This activity ranged from a modified ‘telephone’ game to even running around the room (that was my job).  Later we were divided an inspirational message from Ed (a cool guy).  Then we were treated to an excellent dinner.  I am not an extremely religious person, but thoroughly enjoyed myself and appreciated the message.”

Well, how-dy everyone.  = ).  this is van.  and it’s my turn to add my two cents.  (i know you’re all excited).  i’ll keep it as short as possible.  it was an awesome ‘mini-lake-yale’ experience.  the car ride was an adventure in itself, w/the talk-a-‘bouts and interesting ppl ridin’ in the cars.  i hope everyone had an awesome time and maybe got to meet a couple of new ppl.  something i hope we can do is chill more w/the other groups when we do these thangs ‘gain.  one of our big hopes for the whole shabang, was that everyone could get a chance to make new friends-and meet new brothers and sisters in Christ to unify the Body of believers more.  we had a time of icebreakers and gettin’ to know ppl.  i know got to know a couple of ppl just a lil’ better, by getting’ to spend some of the discussion time w/them.  we had a nifty message ‘bout something we all encounter-temptation, and perhaps i’ll share my notes in a later email… (van misplaced her note book,--eep).  anyhow, i think everyone did a good job of summin’ up what happened there, and hope to get you more info as soon as i find that notebook.  i am gonna ask eunice for her two cents to make this a bit more complete.  so I look forward to addin’ that too!…hee hee.  if you couldn’t make it this time, but wanted to go, or are interested now in going to something like this, ask me ‘bout the Lake Yale retreat in memorial day weekend… it’d be totally awesome if we all could go and chill together for the weekend!   i promised it’d be short,…so i’m gonna shush now.  = ).   –thank you again OCCC for all your generosity.
