Right now, there's only Luke's info on the retreat.  Afterwards... that's another story!

What is the retreat?
The annual retreat  is a great opportunity to just get away from everything and spend time in fellowship with other youths from Florida.  The retreat consists of the adult session, which is in both English and Chinese, and the Youth session, which is only in English.  The youth stay together in the cabins in the North Camp, which is also where most of the activities are held.
Every year we always have a really cool speaker, whose message is very inspiring and meaningful.  This year's speaker is Reverend Gaylord Tsuei, who I assume is Chinese.   The theme is The First Love.  There are also usually lots of other activities including games, discussion, and lots of awesome praise music.
We usually have quite a small group from Gainesville.  However, this year, everyone try to make it and so we can fully represent our church.  Also feel free to invite anyone.  Don't worry about your finals, we'll spend lots of time at the retreat praying to God about them.

Some important information:
The retreat is during Memorial Day weekend.  It begins on Friday May 25 around 6 PM and ends on Sunday May 27 around 2 PM.  It is held at the Lake Yale Baptist Assembly in Leesburg, Florida, about a 1.5 hour drive from Gainesville.
The full registration fee for all 3 days included meals is $62.00.  However, if this is a problem, the Gainesville Church will help pay $30, making it $32.00.  To register, get a form from either Jeff Lin, Brother Paul Chen, or anyone else at church.   They are due on Friday, April 27.  However, if you are staying at the camp, which all the youth are, you can register when you arrive.  The fee will be slightly more expensive though.  Also, Jeff needs a count of how many youth are going, so talk to him at church or e-mail him at drvtech8@ufl.edu
The Orlando Chinese Christian Church is organizing the retreat this year.  You can find all of the needed registration forms, maps and more information  at their web page at www.orlandochinesechurch.org
