It is my hope that, through the course of this WebQuest, you have seen the many connections between literature and culture, specifically with The Shadow of the Wind and Spanish history and civilization. Carlos Ruiz Zafon successfully created a wonderful blend of storyline, symbolism, and universal themes that lends itself beautifully to countless readers with different cultural backgrounds and lifestlyes. In taking on your different roles and comparing your research with your groups and the class, I hope each of you can see what a gem literature is in the passage of time, and how valuable it remains as a source of history and form of art, as well as a tool for growing up.
