Stars of Sport Management
win (102K)
Who are the stars of Sport Management? Well, I'm not really sure... but there are plenty organizations that succeed greatly at what they do [whether we like it or not].

First of course being the Patriots. To me, the creating of a dynasty would be the ultimate goal of a team. They've accomplished this and more, possibly due to their careful selection of players and personnel. I credit this to the front office, including the managers, marketing department and many more. This is what I want to be a part of, what goes into creating a winning team off the field.

Another winning program is the Yankees. Once a successful team is assembled, its important to keep them together, as these guys have been for quite some time. Now a team like the Red Sox is a bit different, since it took awhile for everything to come together. Hard work and dedication obviously goes into a program like this, which may pay off more in the end. Now that the winning team has been realized, they're a force to be reckoned with and many people are catching on.

This brings me of course to a personal example: The Rays. Much like the Sox described above, it took some time to start winning and now that its happening, people are catching on. Thus they're a force to be reckoned with as well.

As far as hockey goes, there are plenty teams that find a method and stick with it. The recently crowned Stanley Cup Champ Detriot Red Wings are a good example. They've pretty much been dominating since their start. Yet the young Penguin team they beat for the Cup have promise simliar to the young Rays.

Of course the history behind the Gator Football team places them on this list as well.

Though winning isn't everything, it does qualify as success in the sports industry; thus the image above.
