My role in Delta Sigma Pi

Delta Sigma Pi Homepage

“Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.”
That was one of the statements I had to memorize while pledging for Delta Sigma Pi during the Fall semester of the 2001 school year. I was a Fundraising committee member during that semester. I was also the chair of the American Red Cross committee, which was created in order to help us raise the necessary amount of money so that our pledge class could be initiated.
During both the 2002 Fall and Spring semesters I was a member of the Service committee, in which I participated in events such as the St. Augustine Beach Cleanup, car washes, and Habitat for Humanity.

During the 2003 Spring semester I was on the Scholarship committee, where we promoted excellence and awarded those distinguishable members who did well in their classes and maintained a high level of participation in the fraternity.

I am currently an alumni of Delta Sigma Pi. My big brother is Dave Barkley.
